Our Stories

Billede til historiepin

Since the events of 2020, I have been on a long journey in my search for ‘true’ information. My journey has brought me into wonderful communities, and I have gained many ‘sisters and brothers in arms’. But at some point I ended up in some groups where I did not feel comfortable. I had various odd experiences, and suddenly it became clear to me that I needed to stop travelling forwards and instead turn around and travel a little bit back.

I decided to write a Facebook post asking people if they would tell me one or more of their experiences since 2020. It had to be experiences that had made a strong emotional impression on them. They did not need to go into detail about their feelings; they just had to describe their experiences.

When you carry experiences that hold strong emotional energies, those energies will follow the words you use to describe the experiences. And there were quite a few people who were willing to share their stories.

I am Danish, and so far the stories are only from Danes. I have translated some of the stories into English, and they can be read via this link. It became a collection called Our Stories, and together they represent one unified energy – but this single energy is composed of several individual human energies.

Combining energies in this way does not work according to the principle of 1+1=2. The combining of energies increases with greater force, which is why the energy in this narrative is greater than the number of stories.

The intention behind this project is that by each of us telling our story to the world, our inner emotional wounds begin to heal. And when we as individuals are healed, a part of the world is healed.

The project is not about designating anyone as more of a villain than others. The project is about building bridges between people across everything. The only thing this merged energy wants is to bring the stories of ordinary people from the last six years out into the light. As humanity, we will not move forward in creating a harmonious future world unless we heal the old wounds. And that requires bringing the wounds out into the light.

With this project I have tried to bring the wounds out into the light – and, as you can read in the link, a number of people were willing to present their story and their wounds.

Story no. 1

One of the things that felt most overwhelming was the rejection from the family that took place at a family gathering after corona had been announced to the world and the vaccines were available.

Everyone in the family – except my husband, one of the sons and me – got vaccinated. The rest of the family were either terrified of being infected with corona or looked at us with contempt. No one shook hands or spoke to us. The three of us sat at one end of the table, and two other children were placed as a buffer between us and the rest of the family.

It was a huge disappointment to see one of my children take sides with their new family and give us the cold shoulder. Some people were initially willing to talk to me about the dangers, infection and the effect of the vaccine, but some later went behind my back and got vaccinated without wanting to talk about it any more.

I also lost many friends and at that time I had three small businesses – an alternative clinic, an artist’s business and a B&B. Everything shut down in a split second. We chose to sell our houses in Denmark and in Spain and bought an allotment house, which we moved into. I cancelled my membership of the unemployment insurance fund, the trade union and the Danish National Church, sold all my gold, and no longer wanted to be part of our society. I planned to live disconnected from society on the money the sales brought in.

The anger I felt towards the world and all people was eating me up. The relationship with the family will never be the same again, and probably not with my husband either. He does not see the course of events the way I do at all, and therefore we cannot talk about how deeply these experiences have left their mark. It is a very lonely feeling.

Story no. 2

I sense that I have fundamentally developed a distrust of other people. I simply do not trust what I hear. It can be the entire system – the municipality, the banks, the medical world, and so on – yes, almost everything.

When it was said how important it was to fall into line and trust everything the authorities said, including tests, face masks and the vaccine, I realised that free will was almost impossible to maintain. That was when it crept in that it was all so rhetorical; there was no compassion or empathy for the citizens. I almost locked up at the thought of having to be tested in order to attend a Christmas lunch, and at the fact that we were not allowed to gather in communities and hobbies.

I can now see that it was all planned for division, fear and anxiety.

I have become even more of a loner, and I almost no longer feel like being part of any communities.

Story no. 3

I was in a situation with a dying spouse, and I was forced to get tested in order to be allowed to visit him in the hospital. Yes, I was angry. It was in June 2020, and we had to hold the funeral service outdoors at the boat club, because it was too complicated to have a gathering indoors.

It did, however, turn into an unusually good moment. The funeral took place on my husband’s birthday, and young friends played lovely music. Still, it leaves its mark. I am not vaccinated.

Story no. 4

I clearly remember that I did not want my second vaccine because my connective tissue disorder became much worse only a week after the first vaccine.

But my doctor told my husband that if I did not take the second vaccine, I could risk dying from corona.

I had corona twice, and I was hospitalised one of those times. I was trusting of authority and therefore also took the second vaccine. I have regretted both of them, and who knows whether I would have become so ill without the vaccines… maybe not.

No more vaccines now, and no more trusting authority. I listen to my intuition now.

Story no. 5

I was in a somewhat similar situation to the one in story 3. However, both my husband and I refused testing, vaccines, and so on. My husband did, at a minimum, have to get tested in order to be operated on (twice).

I was not allowed to go in with him so that I could sit by his side when he was to receive his first dose of immunotherapy. Nor for the first major operation. I quickly chose to care for him alone at home whenever he was not hospitalised.

My husband told stories from when he was hospitalised alone. It was a circus with what the doctors and other staff said when they had him one-on-one. On top of everything, both my and my husband’s anxiety was triggered.

My husband was very ill, and we got a period of respite care at a hospice, where there was one particular staff member who almost monitored my every step. It was really tiresome.

My husband passed away at our home, and we ended up holding his funeral service outside our house on a beautiful sunny day in May 2021.

Overall, I felt that most people took it reasonably well when we said that we did not want to be tested, get vaccinated, or wear face masks. We did, however, use face shields when we had to go to the hospital, mainly to avoid people’s fear.

Story no. 6

I have to admit that when the vaccines arrived, I had an inner feeling that something was wrong.

My one son and I did not take any of the vaccines. I have had discussions about this with family and friends, and some distanced themselves from me, especially among friends.

I told my other son, who has a wife and children who have each taken three vaccines, that one fine day he would realise my words were true. I do not argue with my closest family, as they mean everything to me.

But after that time, my trust in everything within the machinery of the state stopped. Hospitals, the police, the pharmaceutical industry, and so on. Now I investigate everything in order to get information about everything.

I hope that people will soon open their eyes, so that we can help each other create a new future for all of us 🙏

Story no. 7

I just knew that I should not take that vaccine. I worked as a personal respiratory assistant, and the patient and his wife took the vaccine and expected everyone else to do so as well. I was pressured and chose to quit. Ever since, I have had underpaid shitty jobs, but that probably also has its relevance. What I discovered was that the job I had had for two years was a huge relief to get rid of. I was so exhausted that I basically sat on the sofa for a year and did not really feel like doing anything.

My one daughter was terrified of the brainwashing, and I was shamed.

I have had tyrants on my neck my whole life, and that ends now. Now it is me who decides over my life.

Story no. 8

Already in March 2020, at the first and only press conference I watched in connection with covid, I was puzzled. Something in my intuition told me that something was wrong…

As we progressed through the course of events in 2020, I knew with 100% certainty that the situation was not as we were being told. In the media we only saw so-called “experts” who all shared the same opinion. Where was the debate and the discussions that were normally present in crisis situations?

I began listening to Gerd von Boschen, Astrid Stuckleberger and others. People whom I myself regarded as real experts, but who were not allowed to speak in the media. As far as I remember, I began seriously going down the rabbit hole in the autumn of 2021. I also believe that was the time when I had the first confrontations.

The first incident was with my very oldest friend. She is a well-educated woman whom I had never previously experienced as angry – she displayed a rage so violent that it almost knocked me over. I had mentioned to her that I had not taken what I considered to be the genetically manipulated mRNA vaccine, and given my reasons for that choice. That made her explode. NO ONE who was not vaccinated was to come anywhere near her family, children, grandchildren, and so on.

Another incident was also with a friend, where I was not allowed to take part in a celebration of her birthday. All the guests had voted on it – if you were not vaccinated, entry was forbidden. But the most hair-raising remark from her mouth was that she hoped I would become seriously ill and be hospitalised with covid 🙈

I left the Danish National Church in December 2021, when a corona passport was required in order to enter the house of God. I wonder what my grandfather, who among other things was a rural dean/church minister and who baptised, confirmed and married me, would have said.

I have many more stories, but my own body has been marked by the last six years. I struggle with a balloon knee, and was recently taken by helicopter to hospital for heart surgery, and I am facing yet another operation.

But fortunately I am alive, even though it came very close to going terribly wrong because I waited too long 🙏

Story no. 9

I believe myself that I have come through without wounds, because I stand securely in myself and have great organisational and psychological insight combined with a sense for manipulation, so I have been able to see the game and why people have reacted the way they have.

Concretely, I have one brother who will not see me and believes that I ought to be severely punished for my views, and another brother who does not want to be Facebook friends with anyone who supports Trump. I have been unfriended by a number of people, and have had unpleasant discussions with people who aggressively defend the reality they regard as true.

During my training as an organist I was forbidden from practising in the parish church, and some of my teachers were afraid of me as an unvaccinated person. The latter hurt. I have also ruined a family celebration because I refused to get tested.

The positive side is that in the spring of 2020 I gained many new friends, and with them came insights I would not be without.

Story no. 10

In 2019 I had woken up to the 9/11 deception and had, among other things, listened to what David Icke had to say. So when we reached the beginning of March 2020, I wrote a blog post about what if the virus being talked about was not quite as we had been told.

For the following six years I have spent my life writing posts in which I shared information in an attempt to wake people up. I have written posts that could help people in their parallel spiritual development. And I have written other posts to support the people who were in the same situation as me. There have been periods when I burned out, but otherwise I have continued with daily posts, shares and information-seeking.

I tried to wake up everyone around me, including the family. That resulted in me stressing everyone around me, and their view of me developed in the direction that I was at the very least strange, but in some people’s eyes had completely lost the plot. So in 2021 I began withdrawing from all social gatherings.

My husband was hijacked by one of the WHO’s lies; we moved apart and got divorced. I was powerless in relation to my financial circumstances, and I lost everything except my apartment. I hardly see anyone from the family and have grandchildren whom I do not see / have not seen.

I have tried to keep a cool head in every situation and have presented facts in every debate I have entered into. Nevertheless I have been met with countless ugly and condescending comments. Throughout all the years I have insisted on searching for and finding the truths, and have been able to support all my arguments with links and references.

I no longer have contact with any of my friends, and no one in my family listens to me in earnest. Recently I wrote a long letter to the closest part of the family in which I described what I was fighting for and how it felt that the family was continuing its social life without me. It changed nothing.

But when I look back over the years since 2020, there is nothing I have regretted. There has been a great deal that has hurt me and others, but there is nothing I would or could have done differently. I can stand by every choice I made and every post I wrote.

I know, deeply anchored in my heart, that I was part of something important and that the world will soon realise it 🤍

Story no. 11

My experience of the corona years became for me a period in which something fundamental was put at stake: the right to decide for myself over my own life and my own body.

I never tried to convince others of my views, but when the “vaccine” was on its way, I simply wanted people to be able to make their own decision on an informed basis. It was the pressure and the coercion that I reacted against. That is why I took part, among other things, in demonstrations against the epidemic law.

At that time I myself was in a wheelchair for more than half a year because of a broken ankle, but I still went to the demonstration with my leg in a cast and on crutches. At my workplace they wanted to force me to take a test because I went to the demonstration. I did not want a PCR test and was therefore isolated from the others, received food through a hatch and had to use my own toilet. When the rapid tests arrived, I agreed to two of them in order to end the isolation. They were negative, but when I came out I still experienced people looking at me as if I were the biggest infection bomb.

I ended up staying at home for about two years. Not because I was afraid of the disease, but because I was not vaccinated, did not want PCR tests and therefore did not have a corona passport. I could not go to restaurants, pubs, the cinema or travel, and was thus cut off from large parts of social life.

I still remember my little nephew, who was around three years old at the time. He talked about all the adults with masks in kindergarten and suddenly stopped: “Aunt Mette, you have no mask on.” I replied: “No, Aunt Mette does not need to wear a mask.” A small moment, but it made a deep impression on me. Poor all those children.

The hardest part afterwards was finding my way back to a social life. The subject that burned so intensely inside me had at the same time become a subject I could not talk about with just anyone. If I wanted a reasonably normal life, I had to remain silent about it. It also left its mark in the family. My parents and two of my three siblings took the vaccine, and I was so afraid that they would die.

Recently I ended up in another argument with my little brother. He shouted at me, but finished with: “But I love you anyway.” I know perfectly well what lies between the lines, and it hurts. That is also why I have written a long letter to him – so that one day, when he has the time and the energy, he can read it and perhaps understand why I reacted the way I did.

I had always thought I was glad not to live in the USA, where people could be so divided over politics. And then I suddenly experienced that we in Denmark got our own division. The word “community spirit” that Mette Frederiksen used came to feel like a hell to me, because many people suddenly felt that they could act as police officers towards me. That was not on.

I also sold my things, gave up my apartment and lived in a caravan for a season, because I felt that the world was out of joint.

And perhaps one of the things I myself am most proud of: I am a red-haired, hot-tempered Capricorn, but I kept my calm. I did not go into conflict. I continued my life – on my own terms.

Story no. 12

Story no. 13

During covid I have been almost isolated, as people have distanced themselves from me as an unvaccinated person. I can remember that my best friend almost did not dare to shake my hand. One day she said to me that now Jørgen (a friend) is also vaccinated, so now he and I can give each other a hug. That really stung in my heart.

Two of my children have distanced themselves from everything I said about covid, and everything I said about Trump. They declined any further information and said: “What world are you living in?”. I stopped talking about my views, and kept quiet when they themselves spoke about covid and Trump.

I have also had an experience where I was contacted about whether I would take over an elderly dog. When I opened the door, the female owner immediately asked: “Are you vaccinated?” – “No,” I said calmly, after which she ran over to her husband, who was sitting in an open sports car with the dog, and said: “She is not vaccinated!”. But they did come in; after all, they wanted to get rid of the dog. In the end it came to nothing, however, because the female owner wanted to come and visit the dog regularly, and I would not go along with that.

I will finish by saying that isolation over five years has left its mark. I have become a “recluse”.

Story no. 14

I was excluded from a card club because I would neither get vaccinated nor tested. I was, however, not excluded from Christmas Eve with my children. “You have had corona, after all,” they said. Yes, I was ill for a week. Just a bit of a headache and took Influron to relieve the symptoms.

I know only two people who are not vaccinated. On the other hand, I know several who have died, and several with side effects such as, for example, shingles.

My sister-in-law turned yellow all over her body and passed away within 14 days.

Story no. 15

My story begins on the afternoon when the country is locked down. I felt that things were not right and everything inside me said no.

I tried to say it to colleagues, friends and family, and everyone thought I was “crazy”. At that cost I lost my very best friend, and afterwards I was not allowed to visit her children 😥

I felt that I stood completely alone and that I was the only one who felt that way. I have since discovered that I was not alone – but I still feel alone.

I do not feel that people see what is actually going on.

Story no. 16

My story is about my and the family’s experiences with our mother, whom I looked after when she was afraid of being alone. At one point she herself decided that she was ready to move into a nursing home. We found a good nursing home for her after searching for more than a year.

She was given a place and moved in in January 2020. It went well, and she was self-reliant even though she had turned 93.

On 11 March 2020, when the lockdown came, my mother received a shock. She was not allowed to leave her room, and she had to eat all her meals in the room. We spoke on the phone every day, and she asked us: “What have I done to you, since you no longer come and visit me? You just stand outside the door.”

For yes, we were not allowed to come in. When I brought various things she needed – for example cream, chocolate, flowers and so on – everything had to be placed outside the entrance. Then a care worker would come and collect the items, which were then delivered to my mother when the nursing-home staff had time to disinfect them.

One afternoon the nursing home rang and said: “Your mother is very ill, and we think you should come. But you may stay in the room for no more than 10 minutes, and you must be dressed in a full protective suit, face shield and face mask.”

The next day at 10 p.m. they rang from the nursing home again and said that I should probably come immediately. I was at the nursing home about 30 minutes later, but had to go in by the back way and again put on a full protective suit, face shield and face mask. When I reached the room, she had passed away 5 minutes earlier.

The next day, when the undertakers arrived, they parked the car outside the nursing home and put on protective suits and face shields, so that they looked as if they were in space suits. We were still not allowed into the nursing home to say goodbye to our mother.

At her funeral service in the church we were allowed no more than 16 people – it felt so terrible.

My sister died the same year. She was demented and was also in a nursing home. At the nursing home they forcibly vaccinated the residents, and when my sister received the first vaccination she was almost unconscious.

When she was afterwards well enough to be able to sit up a little in an armchair, she received the second vaccination and died shortly afterwards. I was told by a care worker that many residents had become very ill from the vaccines.

While my sister was ill during the lockdown, we had to sneak in to her around the back of the building and in through the patio door so that no one would see us. It was a terrible year.

I myself was so stupid as to have three vaccinations, and then also got hepatitis with subsequent hospitalisation. I am in fact both angry and sad at the same time.

***********************************************************************************************

Story no. 17

I have always felt a little outside society and strangely maladjusted, even though on the surface I probably seemed to fit in well enough. I felt and believed that it was completely me who was at fault; it had never occurred to me that it might be society. That the world, so to speak, was “fucked up”! 😁

I was probably ordinarily thoroughly trusting of authority with regard to the system – including doctors, the media and so on, but that trust was, thank God, thoroughly shaken when “Circus Corona” began in March 2020.

Two women whom I respected introduced me to the concept of the tin-foil hat and to the series Fall of the Cabal – and thank you for that. For then my blind trust in the systems was turned into healthy scepticism!

Even though in many ways it WAS deeply shocking to experience the deception and the manipulation that the world was and is being subjected to, it was a great revelation and gift to realise that the world WAS “fucked up”, and that I was perhaps not so stupid or wrong after all. It gives freedom and hope to come to know the truth (John 8:32: “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”).

But from there my little world also began to go into turbulence, I can tell you! I had two jobs, and at one of them I was looked upon as someone who was heading completely off on a (wrong) tangent (and it was probably one of the black ones and in a minor key!). My colleagues were very worried about me because of my scepticism towards the vaccines and my lack of contempt for Trump.

I was called antisocial – which I am not – when I refused to be tested before a Christmas party, which meant that I could not attend. Their problem! I would never get tested in order to go to a restaurant! I also had to decline a good friend’s big birthday for the same reason.

On Facebook I was, like so many others, “unfriended” by so many “friends”, and there came so many condescending comments, not least from highly academically educated people.

At my other part-time job I was fired on the spot because I had not taken the vaccine and also refused to be tested before every working day.

Having to gather the courage to go out shopping or to the library – because I was not wearing a mask – and to be mentally prepared for being told off, was something I had NEVER imagined could happen!

We were in fact a rather large group of people who met regularly in the early period of 2020/21, where we all felt that we were “in the same place” – that is, awake to what was happening, and that was a great support to me. The very worst thing, however, was that two of my children, who were partially grown up, got vaccinated. I swore that I would do everything to stop them from taking the vaccine, but when the vaccines were rolled out it was not within my power to decide over the children’s choices. I pray that they have not been harmed.

It is as if division came into every family; no one escaped. But the black sheep – which in a way I have always felt myself to be – was perhaps not so stupid after all. And there has perhaps precisely been a need for us so-called black sheep in these years since 2020.

Many of my old relationships have fallen away, and new and wonderful ones have come along. The best thing is that I have met my husband!

I become drained by talk and company with people who are completely steeped in ‘the narrative’, and I try to minimise my contact with them.

There is a sorrow and a longing in me, but also hope and faith. I thank God for having been awakened 🙏

Story no. 19

Back in 2007, I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 31. I chose not to undergo the conventional treatment offered by the medical system, and at the time everyone thought I was completely crazy. (I did, however, receive professional help from Dr. Claus Hancke.)

Even back then, I could see that the pharmaceutical industry was bought and paid for. And the Danish Cancer Society was not interested in my story of recovery against the odds.

In 2020, I truly woke up and decided to opt out of all testing and vaccines. I work as a teacher, and I fought for the children’s right not to be subjected to mass testing. I spent a year trying to make people listen, but eventually I concluded that I live my life, and they live theirs.

I’m happy to help if people ask, but otherwise, as far as I’m concerned, they are welcome to live their lives in fear and under control. However, I increasingly see people opening their eyes, standing up for themselves, choosing new paths, etc. So perhaps more people really are choosing to go their own way…

The younger generation is increasingly rebelling against the boxes and categories society puts them in, which I see as a positive thing. Now, they just need to learn how to channel their rebellion in a sensible and constructive way.

Story No. 20

My husband and I experienced being talked over by our families, especially my husband’s family. Our opinions and what we had to say simply didn’t count, and we were often told to be quiet. The same thing happened in other contexts as well — we were simply too different for them.

My husband visits his family a couple of times a year, but I have stopped seeing them. My own family was reasonable about our decision not to get vaccinated, but then, one by one, they started getting ill for various reasons and spent a great deal of time telling us about it. At one point, I made it clear to them that if they wanted to visit us, we had no desire to spend the time talking about illnesses. The next time we got together, it was as quiet as a church.

Gradually, I came to realize that our families didn’t really know us at all. In a sense, they didn’t know the deepest, spiritual part of who we are, nor did they seem interested in getting to know that part of us. They wanted us to come over to “their side”, so that we would be like them. I politely declined, and I haven’t seen the family for two years. In the end, it became a relief. I still have contact with my/our children, though.

In the collective where we lived, we were embarrassed, yelled at, spat at, and confronted with not wearing masks and not disinfecting our hands.

At the time, my husband was in a wheelchair for a period because of a broken leg, and at one point I didn’t want to go into shops on my own, because I was afraid of encountering aggressive people for not wearing mask. So, we would often take the wheelchair completely out of the car so that we were ready to go inside both of us and do our shopping quickly and efficiently. It was an enormous hassle.

We had to go to the hospital quite a few times because of my husband’s broken leg, and there we were severely ridiculed for not being vaccinated. They wanted to know why we had made that choice. We replied that we had not yet made up our minds about the vaccines and that, after all, it was voluntary whether you chose to get vaccinated or not.

Three years ago, we moved quite a long way away from our previous “normal” surroundings. We moved out to the countryside, and it was a blessing for me. Out here, there are many people who haven’t been vaccinated. But unfortunately, that’s where their awakening seems to have stopped.

My husband and I are interested in Trump, and once I mentioned a couple of things I thought he had done well. I was then told that I should pack my things and move to the US instead of staying in Denmark and freeloading off a society I apparently didn’t like!

There simply doesn’t seem to be any room for disagreement anymore. I have never really trusted the system, and I have often been a thorn in its side because I have stood my ground and insisted on honesty. However, that is nothing compared with what I have been through since 2020. Now I have truly lost trust in the world around me, and I find it difficult to form new connections and friendships. I have gone from being an extrovert to becoming an introvert. I often withdraw in social situations. I find it difficult to open up and become comfortable with anyone.

I hope that will change in the new world.

Story no. 21

I believed the official narrative regarding COVID at first, but I have many right-wing friends who spoke against it. They made me realize that something was wrong. My boss at work was very uncritical and fell completely for the public story. He walked around with rubber gloves, carrying a bottle of hand sanitizer and spraying everything that came in with the mail, among other things. And he refused to accept anything I handed to him.

I felt very alone, because I was the only one in my circle who didn’t really believe the official narrative. When the shots came out, I tried to warn the people around me, including my daughter. She said: “Mom, I really don’t want to hear all your conspiracy theories”.

Almost exactly five years ago, on my grandchild’s 13th birthday, we were sitting at the birthday table. At one end of the table they were talking about how “she chose it herself”… I don’t hear very well, so I had to ask what it was she had chosen herself. It was J____, aged 13, who was supposed to get it the next day. The vaccine was what she had chosen…

When I got home, I cried my eyes out.

I called my ex-husband (not my daughter’s father) and sobbed on the phone… he is the only one I managed to persuade not to get vaccinated.

Another experience I had was with my daughter’s father. I had promised to drive him to a surgeon for an outpatient operation. While we were driving, he said to me: “You can’t allow yourself to hug him (our grandchild) when you’re not vaccinated…”

I was this close to throwing him out of the car…

I moved away from Vestegnen (suburbs west of Copenhagen suburbs) to get away from close family relations and because ambulances and other emergency vehicles were constantly driving around. My heart jumped into my throat every time I heard the sirens.

I moved to Bornholm four years ago and have now found several friends here who are also awake. Right now, I have a feeling of a kind of calm that exists before some things really unfold.

Story No. 22

I live in a small town with about 800 inhabitants. Before Corona I was part of a walking club where we met every two weeks, and that continued during Corona. It was very pleasant and involved very different people. I was often the one who arranged the walks. One day when I had arranged the walk, only three people could come along. Before we were due to leave, I got a phone call from one of the participants. She said that she and one other person would no longer be joining. That left two of us, and we went anyway.

Then I was invited to a 75th birthday party at one of the members from the walking club, and I was quite surprised that one of the women who usually took part did not come. No one said anything, though.

At that time my husband went to card games every Tuesday, and one of the participants asked my husband whether he was vaccinated – because this man knew that I was not vaccinated. The man from the card club and his wife did not want to be around unvaccinated people. I have never made a secret of the fact that I am not vaccinated. This man, who is a former practicing doctor in the town, is an acquaintance of the woman who did not come to the birthday party.

My husband was at that time vaccinated once (he later also took the second jab). I told my husband about the woman who had not shown up to the birthday gathering, and he was then able to confirm my suspicion that it was because of my lack of vaccination.

I gradually sensed the atmosphere around me in which I was quietly being frozen out, even though no one said anything out loud to me.

I left the walking club, and over time it was dissolved. The year after, I was invited to a birthday party at the same woman’s, and I ended up saying no thank you. I could not stand looking at those people anymore.

One of our close friends turned 75, and the spouse said well in advance that only the neighbors had been invited. I went over on his birthday with two bottles of wine, and when I arrived they both apologized that my husband and I were not to take part. I commented that it was they who decided whom they invited – but it hung in the air that the reason we had not been invited was my lack of vaccination. Now that I am writing this, I feel a bit childish. In the situation I was both angry and disappointed. Now I think they are ridiculous, and I talk to them as little as possible. I must also say that I do not miss talking to them. I simply think they are too stupid. And it is not nice to say that other people are stupid. But that is just how I feel.

My husband also did not understand why I would not get vaccinated, and we could hardly talk to each other. I felt so bad that I considered moving. My husband refrained from taking the third vaccine, and then it was as if things calmed down. Perhaps I no longer had the energy for the conflict either.

In my family my brother has got Alzheimer’s, my brother-in-law died of leukemia, another brother has got COPD. I know of many who have got cancer or become demented.

Finally, I would like to add that my sister’s partner of 11 years was admitted with a blood clot in the heart in the spring of 2021. She was not allowed to visit him in hospital even though she was willing to be tested. He died the week after, and they only spoke on the phone. At the funeral no one was allowed to carry the coffin. It was wheeled in on a trolley…. In addition there could only be a certain number in the church, so she had to choose who took part.

That whole “soup” of it all has made me prefer my own company. I enjoy working in the garden and in the house, and in general I enjoy being more creative. And that is quite a good outcome.
